City Partnership Challenge – deadline extended

The response to the City Partnership Challenge Expression of Interest has exceeded our expectations. We had received eighty applications from both city and non-city applicants before the initial deadline in May was reached.

Applications have been streaming in from Africa, the Americas, Europe, Middle East and the Asia-Pacific. The interest is very high so we have extended the deadline to 5 October 2018 to enable all cities and regions interested to register. The Challenge will take place over two years from 2019 to 2020.

Cities, towns, regional governments, businesses and civil society organisations are able to submit a non-binding expression of interest to participate in this two year capacity building and facilitation program. The aim is to develop high impact sustainable urban development projects that can attract investment.
