Cities for the Future

The Cities Programme's lead bi-annual publication of innovative practice from Global Compact city participants. Features practices and projects that address cross-cutting critical issues such as: – governance, ethics, transparency and citizen participation – womens’ empowerment – food security – climate, environment and water – poverty and inequity – CSR and the role of business and enterprise in city development – the digital divide – culture and heritage for urban sustainability Twenty one cities are represented in ‘Cities for the Future’ with case studies of principles-based and collaborative approaches to critical issues – improving the lives of citizens and contributing to the development of equitable, sustainable, just cities.
