Walid Nagi

Walid Nagi is the Chief of Local Networks for the United Nations Global Compact and representative of the Global Compact Cities Programme International Secretariat in New York.

In his role with the Global Compact, Walid coordinates and manages close to 100 Global Compact Networks with the objective of deepening the the business sector’s knowledge of the Ten Principles of the Global Compact and broader United Nations goals.

Walid joined the Global Compact in New York in 2010. Prior to his role with the Global Compact, Walid had more than 17 years of experience working with the private sector and headed the sustainability and communications department in one of the largest private companies in Egypt. He also headed the Global Compact Network in Egypt for more than three years.
