Mushfiq Wahed

Mushfiq Wahed joined Global Compact Cities Programme as an intern in February 2013 while he was pursuing his Masters of Professional Accounting and Finance at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne. Mushfiq’s role at Cities Programme supported external partnerships and communication activities.

Prior to joining the Cities Programme, Mushfiq worked as a Research Consultant at the UK based engineering and management consulting firm Mott MacDonald. During the course of his employment in the company, he was engaged in the design and management of several research studies and market assessment projects for a host of government, donor and private sector agencies in Bangladesh, which includes the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands.

Mushfiq’s career aspirations include working as a project financing and grants management professional in the fields of infrastructure development, enterprise development, community banking and urban and rural agriculture.

Mushfiq’s internship with the Cities Programme was supervised by Elizabeth Ryan.
