Patricia Galan

Patricia is an Architect and Urban Designer who joined the Global Compact Cities Programme in 2014 to undertake a research internship focused on participatory design in city urban landscape projects. Patricia has a Masters degree in International Urban and Environmental Management from RMIT University, with a specialisation in Park Management and Sustainable Design. Patricia has over nine years’ experience in architecture, landscape architecture and urban design, including international experience and awards for the projects she has been involved in.

Her professional interest is in sustainable and participatory design, urban planning, strategies for sustainability and natural resource management in the urban context. She also has particular interest in expressing ideas through graphics as she is convinced that simple pieces of information put together with images and/or icons have a stronger impact on audiences.

Patricia’s project was supervised by Elizabeth Ryan and Jose Roberto Guevara.
