Paris Huxley
Paris Huxley undertook an internship with the Global Compact Cities Programme over a period of several months in 2014. He worked on two specific projects, including a translation from English into French of the Circles of Sustainability Urban Profile Process as well as writing an Urban Social Profile on the city of Paris.
Paris has a strong interest in the crossover of urban and social policy. In 2013, he completed Honours in French and Political Science at the University of Melbourne. Paris wrote his thesis in French, looking at the urban renewal of Paris under President Nicolas Sarkozy, with a strong focus on Henri Lefebvre’s Right to the City and its role in Sarkozy’s Le Grand Paris.
In 2014, Paris completed a Master of Public Policy and Management at the University of Melbourne whilst also working on different projects with the Arts & Culture Unit at the City of Melbourne. He recently completed an internship with the Honorary Consulate-General of France in Melbourne.
Paris worked under the supervision of Professor Paul James.
