Wenyan Jin is currently assisting the Cities Programme in building partnerships and facilitating projects with member cities in China. Her internship is oriented on supporting communication and collaboration with city governments, academic organisations and other stakeholders. Wenyan is also developing action plans for member cities collaborating with civil society and preparing Chinese communication material.
Wenyan’s interests are in public relations, communication and relationship management. Before she joined the Cities Programme, Wenyan interned at a Chinese marketing research company, gaining experience in conducting in-depth interviews and collecting data. During that period she successfully conducted an evaluation research for over 70 non-profit organisations and corporate charities, which engaged in the second China Charity Fair. This research involved unraveling people’s attitudes towards organisations based on their efforts in solving social issues.
Wenyan is doing her Masters in marketing communications at The University of Melbourne and has a Bachelor in Public Relations in Sun Yat-sen University in China. She speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Her internship at the Cities Programme is supervised by Michael Nolan.
