This project seeks to promote Rosslyn as a preferred business environment and a safe, secure place to work and reside by means of a partnership between industry, government and the community. The Forum’s strategy hopes to steer the development of Rosslyn toward sustainable world-class industrial areas that benefit business and the people of Tshwane as a whole.

Issues Project is Seeking to Address
  1. Alleviating poverty through job creation in the Rosslyn area
  2. Increasing private sector participation in formulating the Rosslyn development strategy
  3. Improving public opinion regarding developments in Rosslyn
Planned Actions
  1. Appoint a steering committee to implement decisions of the Rosslyn Strategic Development Forum.
  2. Establish specific task teams to address the issues of:
    1. Power Supply
    2. Individual Transportation
    3. HIV/AIDS
    4. Skills Development
    5. Road and Rail Infrastructure
    6. Security
  3. Exchange relevant information between companies operating in the Rosslyn area
  4. Enlist foreign collaboration and co-operation in developing Rosslyn as a sustainable world class industrial location
  5. Guide and monitor development projects beneficial to the Rosslyn area
Desired Outcomes
  1. To raise the level of private sector and communities involvement in the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality’s development initatives
  2. To encourage development opportunities for investment and job creation and industrial development for Tshwane
  3. To make recommendations to local, provincial and national government on a ‘best practice model’ on public/private partnership
