International Secretariat - November travels
30 October 2008
In November, Ms Caroline Bayliss (Deputy Director) and Stephanie McCarthy (Manager) will be travelling to the World Urban Forum in Nanjing, China where they will partake in the UN Habitat University roundtable session and the Private sector consultation, ‘Corporate Responsibility Towards Harmonious Cities’ roundtable discussions.
Following this, they will travel to Europe to undertake introductory and monitoring visits to member and perspective member cities including the City of Asker, Norway, the City of Berlin (Germany), the City of Bonn (Germany), the City of Wroclaw (Poland) and the City of Le Havre (France). This visit is integral to progressing member city engagement to the Cities Programme and provides opportunity for the International Secretariat and member cities to exchange recent work and project developments.
Professor Paul James (Director) is currently in the Solomon Islands on research and is returning to Melbourne in early November.
