Ethical Cities: Locking in Liveability

The UN Global Compact – Cities Programme and World Vision Australia invite you to contribute to this important conversation.

What does it mean to live in an ethical city?

Tim Costello, CEO of World Vision Australia will lead a dialogue addressing this question with world leading cities in social innovation, with the private sector, civil society, government and urban leaders at the Australasian Urban Thinkers Campus.

We are at a critical point in the urban century.

As our cities grow we face mounting issues around inequity and exclusion, housing crisis, liveability and safety. How do we shape cities that foster social cohesion, prosperity and vibrancy? We now have the new Global Sustainable Development Goals. What ethical framework and principles should guide our action, partnerships and urban development?

Contribute to the New Urban Agenda.

Key recommendations from the ‘Ethical Cities’ Urban Thinkers Campus will contribute to the New Urban Agenda, to be launched at Habitat III, the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development, scheduled for October 2016 in Quito, Ecuador.

Join us – an open space will be created for critical exchange between all.
